Arevakn is star Hayk’s daughter who is known also as Areg. Arevakn
is not only a sun, she is such a wonderful and charming girl that the
Moon gets reckless every time they meet. In Armenian mythology
Arevakn is also the sister of the thunder-god, elsewhere she is his bride,
in other version his wife. The sun itself is life, the life-giving source.
